FIFA Unveils New “FIFA Fan ID” Card for 2026 World Cup Fans

Today, FIFA officially announced the launch of a new fan identity card that can connect with smartphones to unlock a variety of interactive matchday experiences.
The card, named the FIFA Fan ID, will officially debut during the 2026 FIFA World Cup. It will be a free physical card and a special keepsake for fans, available to all ticket holders. However, the card is much more than just a souvenir — it also grants access to a unique digital platform featuring exclusive official tournament content, rewards, and interactive experiences. In addition, fans will be able to upload their own match memories and create personalized memorabilia from their matchday and tournament experiences.
Fans will be able to collect the physical card at fan kiosks located across all 16 stadiums hosting the tournament’s 104 matches. Once they receive the card, supporters can simply tap it against their smartphones to unlock a rich and continuously updated digital experience designed specifically for card holders. Fans are encouraged to arrive at the stadium early and explore their FIFA Fan ID experience before kickoff.
