2026 World Cup Official Sleeve Badges Leaked as FIFA’s Adidas-Only Sales Policy Sparks Fan Debate
Football kit outlet Footy Headlines has revealed leaked images of the official armbands for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, along with details regarding the design and sales policy — with one particular restriction already sparking heated debate among fans worldwide.
For the 2026 tournament, FIFA will move away from the traditional single-design format and introduce four different armband variants. Most participating nations will wear a standard version featuring the official 2026 World Cup logo, available in both light and dark colorways to match different kit colors.

Meanwhile, the seven former World Cup champions — Brazil national football team, Germany national football team, Argentina national football team, France national football team, Spain national football team, England national football team and Uruguay national football team — will reportedly receive exclusive gold-themed armbands to highlight their historic achievements.
According to the leaked details, every team will wear the official tournament badge on the right sleeve, while the left sleeve will feature a newly designed patch displaying the tournament’s official slogan. Both patches are expected to be officially unveiled in June 2026.
The biggest controversy, however, surrounds the sales policy. Sports retailer Subside Sports confirmed that the official 2026 World Cup sleeve badges are being produced exclusively by Adidas and will only be sold together with Adidas-made 2026 World Cup jerseys. Fans will not be able to purchase the patches separately.

As a result, supporters of non-Adidas-sponsored national teams may have no official way to obtain authentic World Cup sleeve badges or apply them to jerseys made by other brands.
Meanwhile, overseas retailers such as World Soccer Shop have already started listing Adidas World Cup jerseys featuring the official sleeve patches.
