Top Goalkeepers Dominating BRI Super League 2025/26: Local Stars Shine Alongside Dutch Sensation
The 2025/2026 BRI Super League season has highlighted the growing competition among goalkeepers, with both local and foreign players delivering impressive performances. The increasing number of imported goalkeepers has made it more difficult for Indonesian keepers to secure regular playing time, forcing many local talents into backup roles or moves to lower divisions.
Among the standout performers this season is Teja Paku Alam, who has enjoyed a remarkable comeback with Persib Bandung. After spending several seasons behind Kevin Ray Mendoza, Teja successfully reclaimed the starting position and became one of the team's most reliable figures. His calm presence, quick reflexes, and ability to produce crucial saves have played a major role in Persib's title challenge.
Another local goalkeeper attracting major attention is Nadeo Argawinata from Borneo FC Samarinda. The 2025/2026 campaign has arguably been the best season of his career so far. By week 32, Nadeo had already recorded 125 saves, an impressive statistic usually associated with goalkeepers from struggling teams rather than clubs competing near the top of the standings.
While local goalkeepers have impressed, foreign shot stoppers continue to make a strong impact across the league. Many imported keepers arrived with high expectations, but only a few managed to perform consistently throughout the season. One of the most successful has been Dutch goalkeeper Mike Hauptmeijer, who quickly established himself as a key player for Bali United.
Hauptmeijer has matched Nadeo's tally of 125 saves, proving his importance to Bali United's defensive stability. His consistency, composure, and leadership at the back have made him one of the league's best foreign signings this season. Together with Teja and Nadeo, he has emerged as part of the elite group of goalkeepers defining the BRI Super League campaign.
