Mariano Peralta Breaks Brazilian Dominance in BRI Super League Scoring Race
Mariano Peralta has emerged as one of the biggest surprises in the BRI Super League 2025/26 season. The Borneo FC winger has managed to stand out among a long list of Brazilian stars dominating the league's top scorer rankings. His impressive performances have turned him into one of the most talked-about foreign players in Indonesian football this season.
The Argentine attacker currently sits in third place on the scoring chart after collecting 18 goals in 33 appearances. Beyond his finishing ability, Peralta has also become a creative force for Borneo FC by contributing 13 assists. His all-around impact has made him one of the most complete attacking players in the competition.
At the top of the scoring table remains Brazilian striker David da Silva from Malut United. The experienced forward has scored 23 goals in 32 matches and continues to show remarkable consistency despite being 36 years old. Another Brazilian player, Alex Martins of Dewa United, follows closely behind with 20 goals from 31 appearances.
Brazilian influence is also visible in the rest of the top scorer standings. Arema FC forward Dalberto Luan Belo has recorded 18 goals in just 27 matches, while Persija Jakarta striker Maxwell Souza has added 15 goals in 30 games. Their presence highlights how strongly Brazilian attackers continue to shape the league's offensive competition.
Peralta's excellent season has also earned him a nomination for the league's best player award. He competes alongside several notable names, including teammates Juan Villa and Federico Barba, as well as Beckham Putra and Allano Lima. Thanks to his combination of goals, assists, and consistent performances, Peralta is considered one of the strongest contenders for the individual honor this season.
