Barcelona Rushes to Find Lewandowski's Successor Ahead of Major Squad Rebuild

Barcelona has already started preparing for a new era following the confirmed departure of Robert Lewandowski at the end of the season. The Catalan club sees the upcoming summer transfer window as a crucial moment to reshape its attacking line and secure a new leading striker for the future.

Lewandowski leaves behind a massive legacy after becoming one of Barcelona's most influential players since arriving in 2022. The Polish forward played a key role in helping the club win two La Liga titles in recent seasons while also providing leadership and experience to a relatively young squad.

Sporting director Deco is now leading the search for a replacement capable of filling the gap left by the veteran striker. Several names have already been linked with the club, including Atletico Madrid forward Julian Alvarez. Barcelona understands that replacing a player with Lewandowski's consistency and scoring record will be an extremely difficult task.

Among the options being considered, Brazilian striker Joao Pedro has reportedly become one of the strongest candidates. The 24-year-old attacker is viewed as a player whose style matches Barcelona's tactical approach. Reports also suggest that the player is open to the possibility of joining the Spanish giants during the next transfer window.

Despite Barcelona's strong interest, completing the transfer may prove complicated. Joao Pedro's current Premier League club is reluctant to let him leave because he remains an important part of their plans for the future. At the same time, Barcelona continues evaluating several alternatives while trying to strengthen the squad under a new long-term project that could also be influenced by the arrival of Xabi Alonso in the club's broader football vision.
