Persib Makes History with Third Straight League Title

Persib Bandung once again proved its dominance in Indonesian football after securing the BRI Super League 2025/2026 championship. The team sealed the title following a goalless draw against Persijap Jepara in the final match of the season. Although Persib finished level on points with Borneo FC, their superior head-to-head record ensured they ended the campaign at the top of the standings.
The latest triumph carried far more meaning than simply adding another trophy to the club’s collection. Persib became the first team in the Liga Indonesia era to win three consecutive league titles, following previous championship victories in the 2023/2024 and 2024/2025 seasons. The achievement strengthened the club’s reputation as one of the biggest and most successful teams in Indonesian football history.
A major factor behind Persib’s success this season was their incredible consistency at home. Stadion Gelora Bandung Lautan Api turned into one of the toughest venues for visiting teams throughout the campaign. Out of 17 home matches, Persib recorded 15 wins and only two draws, with Arema FC and Persijap Jepara being the only sides able to avoid defeat there.
Persib also enjoyed outstanding performances from key individuals, especially goalkeeper Teja Paku Alam. The experienced shot-stopper delivered 19 clean sheets during the season, setting a new league record and surpassing the previous mark of 18 clean sheets held by Yoo Jae-hoon. His reliability at the back played a huge role in maintaining the team’s defensive strength across the competition.
The club’s continued dominance has also been closely linked to the leadership of coach Bojan Hodak. Since taking over midway through the 2023/2024 season, the Croatian manager has guided Persib to three consecutive league titles while also earning the Best Coach award in each of those seasons. Meanwhile, former goalkeeper Made Wirawan added another remarkable chapter to his long connection with the club by contributing to four league titles in different roles, ranging from player to goalkeeping coach and member of the coaching staff.
