De Gea Open to Fiorentina Exit Only for a Manchester United Return
David De Gea has become the subject of transfer speculation after reports linked him with a possible move to Juventus. Despite the interest, the veteran goalkeeper is reportedly focused on remaining at Fiorentina unless a unique opportunity emerges from his former club, Manchester United.
The Spanish shot-stopper continues to impress in Italy, delivering consistent performances and proving that he remains one of the league's most reliable goalkeepers. Even as he approaches his 36th birthday, De Gea has maintained a high level of form, attracting attention from several major European clubs.
Recent reports have placed De Gea among the candidates being considered by Juventus as they evaluate their goalkeeping options. He has been mentioned alongside established names such as Alisson Becker and Emiliano Martínez. However, a transfer to Turin is not believed to be his preferred destination.
According to the reports, De Gea would only consider leaving Fiorentina if Manchester United offered him a path back to Old Trafford. The goalkeeper spent more than a decade with the English club, becoming one of its most influential players before departing when his contract expired in 2023.
Having joined Fiorentina as a free agent in 2024 after a year away from competitive football, De Gea remains under contract with the Italian side until 2028, with an option for an additional season. Unless Manchester United makes a move, the experienced goalkeeper is expected to continue playing a key role for Fiorentina and could potentially finish his career in Florence.
