Real Madrid Set for Massive Profit as Como Agrees to Re-Sign Nico Paz in €60 Million Deal
Real Madrid is on the verge of securing a significant financial boost after reaching an agreement to sell midfielder Nico Paz back to Como. The Spanish club is expected to earn a remarkable profit from the deal, having originally sold the talented youngster for just €6 million two years ago.
Following his move to Italy, Paz developed into one of Como's standout performers under the guidance of Cesc Fabregas. His impressive progress convinced Real Madrid to activate a €10 million buyback clause this summer, briefly bringing the midfielder back under the club's control before negotiations with Como resumed.
Como remained determined to keep Paz and reportedly agreed to pay around €60 million to regain his services. The Serie A club views the young playmaker as a central figure in its long-term project and was willing to make a substantial investment to ensure he stayed with the team.
As part of the agreement, Real Madrid included several strategic clauses to protect its future interests. The deal features a new buyback option worth approximately €80 million, allowing the Spanish giants to re-sign Paz if they choose. In addition, Madrid secured a sell-on clause that guarantees a share of any future transfer involving the midfielder.
Paz is also believed to have preferred continuing his career at Como rather than returning to Real Madrid. With a key role in the squad and the opportunity to compete in the UEFA Champions League during the 2026/2027 season, the midfielder sees the Italian club as the ideal environment to continue his development.
