De Bruyne: This Is Only the Beginning After Belgium's 5-1 Win

After the match, many of you were celebrating.

"It wasn't really a celebration. Of course we're happy because after the first two matches, our situation wasn't looking great. The only thing we could do was focus on our own game, and I think we did that. The result of the other match allowed us to finish top of the group, which means we'll play our knockout match in Seattle. But this is only the beginning."



It was a long-awaited big win today.

"Every one of us wants to play attacking football, create chances and score goals. We couldn't do that in the first two matches, but today we managed it. The whole team showed great chemistry."

On his goal

"For a moment, I thought luck was going to be against me again. I've created a lot of good chances, especially in the opening group game and again today. Several of my shots were blocked by defenders, or I just couldn't get them on target. But in the end, the ball went in, and that felt really good."



On the meaning behind kissing his arm after scoring

"Today is the ninth anniversary of my wedding, and my wife was here in the stadium. My children were watching the match on TV in Los Angeles. The tattoo on my arm is their names. It means a lot to me."
