Rezaldi Hehanussa Parts Ways with Persib After Trophy-Filled Spell

Persib Bandung continues to reshape its squad ahead of the 2026/27 season under new head coach Igor Tolic. One of the latest changes is the departure of left-back Rezaldi Hehanussa, whose three-and-a-half-year journey with the club has officially come to an end. His exit marks another significant move during a period of transition for the reigning champions.

Rezaldi joined Persib midway through the 2022/23 season and quickly became an important member of the team. His strong performances earned him a long-term contract, and he played a valuable role in helping the club secure the league title during the following campaign. Over the years, he established himself as a dependable figure in the squad.

Despite his success, Rezaldi's progress was interrupted by recurring injuries. A serious setback required surgery and kept him out for most of one season, limiting his ability to contribute on the pitch. Even so, he remained part of the squad that celebrated back-to-back league championships, adding another achievement to his time with the club.

Competition for the left-back position became increasingly difficult during his final season. Several new and established players moved ahead of him in the pecking order, resulting in fewer opportunities to feature in league matches. To gain regular playing time, he was sent on loan to Persik Kediri for the remainder of his contract.

After the loan spell concluded, Persib decided not to extend Rezaldi's contract, bringing his successful chapter with the club to a close. The management expressed its appreciation for his professionalism, commitment, and contributions throughout his stay. As he begins the next stage of his career, Rezaldi leaves behind a legacy that includes memorable performances and multiple championship titles.
