Germany Eliminated by Paraguay 5-4 on Penalties

In the FIFA World Cup Round of 32, Germany faced Paraguay. Enso González headed Paraguay into the lead in the first half. Kai Havertz equalised after the break, sending the match into extra time after the sides were locked level at the end of 90 minutes. During extra time, Jonathan Tah thought he had scored the winner, but the goal was ruled out for a foul in the build-up. In the penalty shootout, Havertz, Nick Woltemade and Tah all missed from the spot as Germany fell 4-3 on penalties, losing 5-4 on aggregate to Paraguay and crashing out of the World Cup in the Round of 32.

54' – Germany found the equaliser! Florian Wirtz delivered a pinpoint cross from the right, and Kai Havertz met it with a superb glancing header to level the score at 1-1.
