Persita Tangerang has strengthened its attacking lineup by signing Madagascar international Alexandre Ramalingom for the 2026/27 Super League season. The experienced striker joins the club on a one-year contract and will wear the No. 90 jersey as he begins a new chapter in Indonesian football.

Born in France, Ramalingom chose to represent Madagascar at the international level through his family heritage. Since making his national team debut during the 2020 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, he has earned 10 appearances for the country and added valuable international experience to his résumé.

The 33-year-old arrives with an impressive scoring record after spending most of his career in France, Belgium, Israel, and Azerbaijan. Across his professional journey, he has scored more than 100 goals, making him one of Persita’s most accomplished foreign signings ahead of the new campaign.

Before moving to Indonesia, Ramalingom featured for several European clubs, including AC Ajaccio, Béziers, RE Virton, Sedan, and Azerbaijan Premier League side Sumgayit. During the previous season, he contributed 12 goals and three assists in 32 appearances, demonstrating that he remains an effective attacking threat.

Persita's management believes Ramalingom’s experience, finishing ability, and leadership will strengthen the team's frontline throughout the season. His arrival is expected to increase competition within the squad and provide the club with a reliable source of goals as it targets a successful 2026/27 campaign.
