Elkan Baggott Completes Long-Term Move to Millwall Ahead of New Season

Indonesian international Elkan Baggott has officially joined Millwall during the summer transfer window after leaving newly promoted Premier League side Ipswich Town. The 23-year-old defender signed a long-term contract at The Den, becoming the club's fifth signing as preparations continue for the 2026/27 campaign. Financial details of the transfer were not disclosed.

Baggott is expected to strengthen Millwall's defensive unit with his commanding physical presence and aerial ability. Standing around 196 centimeters tall, he has built a reputation as a reliable center-back who excels in defensive duels while also posing a threat during set-piece situations.

A product of Ipswich Town's academy, Baggott gained valuable experience through loan spells across the English Football League with clubs including King's Lynn, Gillingham, Cheltenham Town, Bristol Rovers, and Blackpool. At the international level, Baggott has established himself as one of Indonesia's key defenders. With 27 appearances and two goals for the national team, he brings significant experience that is expected to support his transition into Millwall's squad and contribute to the club's ambitions this season.
