Como Target Moise Kean as Club Builds Squad for Historic Champions League Campaign

Serie A side Como have reportedly made an early move to explore the possibility of signing Fiorentina striker Moise Kean during the summer transfer window. Club officials are said to have contacted the Italian forward's representatives as they continue assembling a squad capable of competing both domestically and in the UEFA Champions League.

After spending recent seasons climbing from Serie B, Como is preparing for its first-ever Champions League campaign. As part of that process, the club is looking to increase the number of Italian players in its squad to meet UEFA registration requirements while also adding proven quality to its attacking line.

Kean remains under contract with Fiorentina until June 2029, making any potential transfer far from straightforward. His previous €62 million release clause applied only to clubs outside Italy during a limited period in early July, meaning Como would need to negotiate directly with Fiorentina if they decide to pursue a deal.

The 26-year-old striker brings a wealth of experience despite his age. Over the course of his career, he has played for Juventus, Hellas Verona, Everton, Paris Saint-Germain, and Fiorentina, while also becoming an important figure for the Italian national team with 13 goals in 26 international appearances.

Como's interest is currently viewed as the first step before opening formal discussions with Fiorentina. If a transfer can be completed, Kean could become the centerpiece of the club's attack as they prepare for the biggest challenge in their history by competing on Europe's elite stage.
