Trevoh Chalobah Leaves Chelsea for Como in Ambitious Serie A Move
Trevoh Chalobah has officially completed his move from Chelsea to Como, beginning a new chapter in Italy after spending 19 years with the London club. The 27-year-old defender has signed a five-year contract with the Serie A side and is eager to play an important role in the club's ambitious project under manager Cesc Fabregas.
The transfer is reportedly worth up to €35 million including bonuses, bringing an end to Chalobah's long association with Chelsea. He came through the club's academy and made 151 appearances for the first team across all competitions, winning five trophies during his time at Stamford Bridge.
Chalobah became an important part of Chelsea's defense after returning from a loan spell at Crystal Palace in January 2025. However, the arrival of Maxence Lacroix from Crystal Palace changed his situation, with the club deciding that the defender was no longer central to their plans. That decision ultimately opened the door for his move to Italy.
The transfer also reunites Chalobah with Fabregas, who was his teammate at Chelsea during the 2018/19 season. Their previous relationship could help the defender adapt quickly to his new surroundings, while his experience in the Premier League and European competitions should provide valuable leadership for Como.
Como see Chalobah as an important addition as they continue building a competitive team in Serie A. The defender arrives with considerable experience and a strong motivation to prove himself in Italy. His goal is not simply to settle into his new club but to contribute to Como's long-term ambitions and help create a memorable period in the club's history.
