However, the Reds are expected to demand a higher fee before agreeing to part ways with the Netherlands international.
Personal terms are not expected to create a major obstacle. Reports indicate that Gakpo has already reached an agreement in principle with Tottenham, suggesting that the main issue is now negotiations between the two clubs. The player’s reported willingness to move could give Spurs confidence as they attempt to complete the deal before the transfer deadline.
Liverpool’s desire to secure a larger financial return means Tottenham may need to improve their initial proposal, but there is growing optimism that an agreement can still be reached.
