Pedro Neto Agrees Personal Terms with Al Hilal as Chelsea Consider Major Sale
Chelsea winger Pedro Neto has reportedly reached an agreement on personal terms with Saudi Pro League side Al Hilal, bringing a potential summer transfer a step closer. Negotiations between the two clubs are now focused on the transfer fee, with Chelsea understood to be open to selling the Portugal international if their financial demands are met.
Chelsea are reportedly seeking around £51 million for the 26-year-old forward. Neto joined the London club in 2024 and has since made 103 appearances for the Blues. His performances have also attracted attention from Premier League rivals Manchester City and Liverpool, although Al Hilal currently appear confident about completing the deal.
The Saudi club are preparing for changes to their attacking options, with Brazilian winger Malcom expected to leave. Neto has emerged as their preferred replacement because of his pace, versatility and ability to create opportunities from wide positions. His previous experience in the Premier League also makes him an attractive addition as Al Hilal look to strengthen their squad.
Neto enjoyed an impressive campaign with Chelsea last season, contributing 13 goals and 10 assists across 58 appearances. His productivity made him an important attacking player, but his limited involvement during Chelsea’s pre-season preparations has raised questions about his future. Much of his summer was occupied by the 2026 World Cup before he took a break, leaving him with only one pre-season appearance under manager Xabi Alonso.
Chelsea may nevertheless be willing to sanction the transfer because they have several younger options capable of operating on the right wing. Estevao and Geovany Quenda provide promising alternatives, potentially making Neto’s departure easier to accommodate. With personal terms reportedly settled and negotiations over the fee continuing, Al Hilal will now look to convince Chelsea to lower the final barriers to a deal.
