Tottenham and Manchester United Weigh Move for Victor Osimhen

Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United are reportedly considering a move for Victor Osimhen as they assess their attacking options during the summer transfer window. The Nigerian striker remains one of the most sought-after forwards in Europe, with his pace, physical strength, aerial ability and clinical finishing making him an attractive target for clubs looking to strengthen their frontline.
Tottenham currently have Dominic Solanke and Richarlison as their main options at centre-forward. The club previously brought in Randal Kolo Muani on loan from Paris Saint-Germain, but decided against making the move permanent after their European commitments changed. With Tottenham not involved in continental competition this season, their existing attacking options could be sufficient, although Solanke has struggled for consistency and fitness since arriving from Bournemouth, while Richarlison is entering the final year of his contract.
Despite those circumstances, Tottenham have reportedly held internal discussions about the possibility of signing Osimhen. The London club are believed to be monitoring his situation closely, particularly because the striker is keen on a move to the Premier League. A player of his profile could provide Tottenham with greater attacking power and competition for places, while also offering a proven goalscoring threat at the highest level.
Manchester United have also discussed Osimhen internally, although their interest appears less advanced. United already have Benjamin Sesko and Joshua Zirkzee available as central strikers, while Bryan Mbeumo, Matheus Cunha and Marcus Rashford can also contribute in forward positions. Unless players leave Old Trafford, adding another expensive striker may not be a priority for the club.
The biggest obstacle for any potential deal could be Osimhen’s financial demands and Galatasaray’s stance. The Turkish club are reportedly reluctant to part with the forward and have already rejected a substantial offer from Al Hilal. With the summer window approaching its final stages, Tottenham could emerge as the more serious Premier League contender if they decide to make a formal approach. For now, Osimhen’s future remains uncertain, but his desire to play in England could keep the transfer story alive.
