Bellingham Defends Mbappé After Late Penalty Miss and Betis Taunt

In La Liga’s fourth round, Real Madrid suffered a 1-0 away defeat to Real Betis. After Kylian Mbappé missed a penalty in stoppage time, he was taunted by the opposition, prompting Jude Bellingham to stand up for his teammate.

In the 93rd minute, Real Betis defender Natan gave away a penalty, and Mbappé stepped up to take it. However, his spot-kick was saved by the goalkeeper. As Mbappé prepared to follow up on the rebound, Real Betis defender Marc Bartra cleared the ball away.



Betis goalkeeper Álvaro Valles then celebrated wildly, getting in Mbappé’s face and taunting him while also making chest-to-chest contact. Bellingham immediately stepped in to defend Mbappé, pointing at Valles and angrily confronting him.
