Hendra Setiawan Announces Retirement After Over 30 Years in Badminton

Indonesian badminton legend Hendra Setiawan has officially announced his retirement from the sport after an illustrious career spanning more than 30 years. The 40-year-old shuttler revealed that his final tournament will be the Indonesian Masters scheduled for January 2025. The duo won the gold medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympics and secured four World Championships titles in 2007, 2013, 2015, and 2019. Additionally, they triumphed in the Asian Games with two gold medals in 2010 and 2014, and clinched two All-England titles in 2014 and 2019. His contributions to the sport have solidified his legacy as one of the greatest badminton players in history.
