Ghana Part Ways with Head Coach Addo Ahead of World Cup Campaign

According to an official announcement from the Ghana Football Association, head coach Addo will no longer serve as the team’s manager.
Official Statement:
Effective immediately, the contract with the head coach of the senior men’s national team, Addo, has been terminated. The Ghana Football Association sincerely thanks Addo for his contributions to the team and wishes him all the best in his future endeavors.
The GFA will announce the new coaching staff for the Black Stars at an appropriate time.

Addo was appointed as head coach of Ghana on March 15, 2024. During his tenure, he successfully led the team to qualify for the FIFA World Cup. In recent international friendlies, Ghana suffered a 1–5 defeat to Austria, followed by a 1–2 loss to Germany. At the World Cup, Ghana have been drawn in the same group as Panama, England, and Croatia.
