PSBS Biak Players Threaten Boycott Ahead of Crucial Clash Against Dewa United
Serious internal problems have emerged at PSBS Biak ahead of their upcoming Super League 2025/26 match against Dewa United. The squad is reportedly considering refusing to train and compete after growing frustration over unpaid salaries that have not been settled for the past four months.
The financial issue has created tension inside the club and pushed players to take a united stand. A meeting involving players, coaching staff, team officials, and management representatives was recently held to discuss the worsening situation and determine the next course of action.
During the discussions, the players collectively agreed that they would not return to the field until the club fulfilled its financial obligations. The delayed payments have become a major concern for the squad, especially with the season approaching its final stage. Players are also demanding transparency from management regarding how available funds are being prioritized.
In addition to salary concerns, several players reportedly expressed dissatisfaction with the team's coaching situation. The unrest has affected overall morale within the club and raised doubts about the team's preparation for the important fixture scheduled this week.
Alex Yarangga confirmed that the players' position was serious and not merely emotional pressure. He stated that the issue would be forwarded to the club's board in hopes of resolving the unpaid wages and restoring stability before the competition officially concludes later this month.
