Joan García Set for Spain national football team World Cup Squad After Breakout Season

According to a report from Diario AS, Barcelona goalkeeper Joan García is set to be included in Spain national football team’s squad for the World Cup.

The report states that Joan García will be part of Spain’s 26-man World Cup roster. The decision comes after his outstanding performances throughout the season, as well as his excellent attitude toward teamwork and understanding of his role within the squad, qualities he already demonstrated during his previous call-up to the national team.

The national team coach is fully aware that Unai Simón remains the first-choice goalkeeper for the World Cup. Joan García is not in a hurry, but earning a place in the Spanish national team has always been one of his career goals.

Joan García made his debut for Spain at RCDE Stadium against Egypt national football team, the same stadium that served as his home ground during his time with RCD Espanyol.
