Barcelona's Delay Leaves Lewandowski's Future Wide Open
Robert Lewandowski is still waiting for clarity regarding his future at Barcelona as the club has yet to submit an official contract extension offer. Despite ongoing discussions between both sides, the experienced Polish striker has not received any written proposal or concrete financial details from the Catalan giants. With his current deal nearing its expiration, uncertainty continues to surround his next move.
Barcelona is reportedly considering a one-year extension for the veteran forward. However, the potential deal may involve a significant salary reduction along with a less prominent role in the squad. Even so, club officials have avoided discussing exact figures or economic conditions, leaving Lewandowski unable to properly evaluate Barcelona's intentions compared to offers from other clubs.
The lack of progress has opened the door for several teams to show interest in the 37-year-old striker. One of the strongest offers reportedly comes from Major League Soccer side Chicago Fire FC, which is prepared to offer a highly attractive package that includes a massive salary and additional performance bonuses. The proposal has become one of the most serious options currently available to Lewandowski.
Interest from Europe has also continued to grow. Italian clubs such as AC Milan and Juventus are monitoring the situation, although both teams are still cautious about making a final move. Meanwhile, clubs from Saudi Arabia remain eager to bring the Polish captain to the Middle East, where he is still viewed as a high-profile target despite his age.
For now, Lewandowski appears focused on waiting for a clearer response from Barcelona before making a final decision. However, if the Spanish club continues to delay formal negotiations, the veteran striker may soon be forced to consider the growing list of opportunities available outside Camp Nou.
