Shakira and Burna Boy Release Official 2026 FIFA World Cup Song “DAI DAI” Worldwide

The official theme song for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, “DAI DAI”, has officially been released worldwide. The track is performed by Colombian Latin pop superstar Shakira and Nigerian Afrobeats sensation Burna Boy.



This marks Shakira’s third appearance on the World Cup music stage. At the 2010 FIFA World Cup, she performed the official anthem “Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)”, while at the 2014 FIFA World Cup, she returned with the official song “La La La”.

One of the official songs for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, “DAI DAI” takes its title from the Italian phrase meaning “Go! Go!”. The song opens with an energetic “Oe, oe, oe” chant and blends Latin pop, Afrobeats, and dance rhythms. Its lyrics reference the culture and atmosphere of several participating nations and regions, including Brazil, Argentina, and Colombia. “DAI DAI” is now available on major streaming platforms including Spotify and Apple Music.

On May 8, Shakira shared a teaser video for “DAI DAI” on her social media platforms. The music video was filmed at Brazil’s iconic Maracanã Stadium, where Shakira appeared wearing colors inspired by the Brazil national team while holding the official match ball for the tournament, “Triondas”. She was joined by dancers dressed in the colors of various national teams as they performed together.
