AC Milan’s Youth Revival: Five Academy Stars Set for First-Team Breakthrough After Club Overhaul

AC Milan is entering a period of major transition, and the internal reset at the club could unexpectedly open the door for several academy graduates. With changes in management and a broader restructuring underway, the Rossoneri are increasingly leaning toward promoting young talent for the 2026–27 season.
One of the most closely watched names is Francesco Camarda. The 18-year-old striker returns from his loan spell at Lecce, where he gained valuable experience despite a modest goal return. His reputation, however, has already been strengthened through earlier breakthroughs and appearances at senior international level, keeping him firmly in Milan’s long-term plans.
In midfield, Kevin Zeroli and Christian Comotto are both under serious consideration for elevation to the senior squad. Zeroli has gathered experience through loan spells in Italy’s lower divisions, while Comotto, still only 17, completed a developmental season at Spezia. Both are viewed as players who could either earn rotation roles or become reliable squad options.
Another promising figure is goalkeeper Lorenzo Torriani, who is emerging as a strong candidate for the backup role. Having been monitored closely by the club’s technical staff, he is now positioned to step into a more defined first-team role if progress continues as expected.
Andrej Kostic completes the list of young players pushing for promotion. His inclusion in the upcoming pre-season with the senior team signals growing confidence in his potential. A strong showing could accelerate his rise and secure him a place in the squad for the start of the new campaign, reinforcing Milan’s shift toward trusting its own academy products.
