Koji Gyotoku Finalizes Cambodia's Squad
Head coach Koji Gyotoku has announced Cambodia's final squad for the 2026 ASEAN Hyundai Cup, expressing confidence in the players selected.
"The selected players are the best for Cambodia currently," Gyotoku said after naming his squad.
The Japanese coach believes the current group has the quality to compete against some of Southeast Asia's strongest teams.
Semi-final Ambition
Cambodia have never reached the semi-finals of the ASEAN Championship, but Gyotoku has made it clear that this is the team's objective in 2026.
After encouraging performances in the previous edition, he hopes a refreshed squad and tactical improvements can help Cambodia make history by advancing to the knockout stage for the first time.
Japan Training Camp
As part of their tournament preparations, Cambodia scheduled a training camp in Japan from 14–22 July, including two international friendly matches. The coaching staff believes the higher level of opposition will help the players improve before the tournament begins.
Tough Group A Challenge
Cambodia have been drawn into a difficult Group A alongside:

Singapore
Timor-Leste
The opening matches will be crucial if Cambodia hope to qualify for the semi-finals.
