Indonesia Drawn with Malaysia as FIFA ASEAN Cup 2026 Groups Are Confirmed
FIFA has officially unveiled the group-stage draw for the 2026 FIFA ASEAN Cup, placing Indonesia in a challenging Group A alongside regional rival Malaysia. The group also features Singapore and India, one of two invited teams from South Asia. A total of 14 nations will compete in the tournament, including two representatives from South Asia and one from East Asia.
The competition is divided into Division 1 and Division 2 during the group stage, with Indonesia among the eight teams competing in the top division. Group B includes Vietnam, Thailand, the Philippines, and Pakistan, which replaces China as the East Asian representative. Meanwhile, Division 2 consists of Hong Kong, Myanmar, and Brunei Darussalam in Group A, while Cambodia, Laos, and Timor-Leste make up Group B.
