Manchester United Step Up Pursuit of Rising Star Nicolo Tresoldi Amid Striker Reshuffle

Manchester United are reportedly increasing their interest in Club Brugge forward Nicolo Tresoldi as they continue evaluating attacking reinforcements during the summer transfer window. While Benjamin Sesko and Joshua Zirkzee remain the club's primary center-forward options, the management is believed to be considering additional competition to strengthen the squad ahead of the new season.

Sesko showed encouraging progress after overcoming a difficult adjustment period following his arrival from RB Leipzig. Zirkzee, however, struggled to establish himself as a regular starter throughout the previous campaign, raising questions about his long-term future at Old Trafford despite arriving with high expectations.

Tresoldi has emerged as an appealing target after an impressive first season with Club Brugge. The 21-year-old striker scored 22 goals and contributed six assists in 50 appearances across all competitions, quickly establishing himself as one of the club's most important attacking players. He has also carried that momentum into the new season by finding the net in the Belgian Super Cup final.

Club Brugge are under no immediate pressure to sell because Tresoldi remains under contract until 2029. As a result, the Belgian side are expected to demand a substantial transfer fee, reportedly in the region of £43 million. Even so, Manchester United appear willing to continue monitoring his development as they assess whether he fits their long-term plans.

A move for Tresoldi could also influence United's transfer strategy regarding Zirkzee, who has attracted interest from Juventus. While the Italian club are reportedly exploring a loan deal with a future purchase clause, Manchester United are believed to prefer a permanent transfer if they decide to part ways with the Dutch forward. The coming weeks could determine whether Tresoldi becomes the next young talent to lead United's attacking line.
