Galatasaray Enter the Race for Christopher Nkunku as Transfer Battle Intensifies

Galatasaray have opened negotiations with AC Milan over a potential move for Christopher Nkunku, adding another major club to the growing list of teams interested in the French forward. The Turkish side are exploring the possibility of bringing the 28-year-old to Istanbul as Milan consider changes to their attacking options ahead of the new season.
Nkunku was recently informed that he is no longer part of Ruben Amorim’s plans at Milan and has been given permission to consider a move before the transfer window closes. The situation has attracted interest from several clubs, with former side RB Leipzig reportedly pushing to bring him back to Germany. Newcastle United have also been linked with the forward, although their interest has yet to develop into a concrete transfer.
Milan signed Nkunku from Chelsea last season for a reported €37 million, hoping that his attacking quality and versatility would strengthen the team. During his first campaign at San Siro, he scored eight goals and provided three assists in 35 appearances across all competitions. Those numbers, however, were not enough to convince Amorim that Nkunku should be a central figure in his attacking system.
Despite his recent struggles, Nkunku still boasts an impressive career record. He has registered 104 goals and 53 assists in 342 competitive appearances, with his most productive period coming during his time at RB Leipzig. Across 172 matches for the German club, he scored 70 goals and contributed 43 assists, establishing himself as one of Europe’s most dangerous attacking players.
Nkunku’s uncertain future has therefore created an increasingly competitive transfer situation, with Galatasaray now joining Leipzig and Newcastle among the clubs monitoring his availability. The player is reportedly taking his time before committing to a destination, leaving Milan facing an important decision as the transfer deadline approaches and potential suitors continue to assess the conditions of a possible deal.
