Curtis Jones Completes €35 Million Move from Liverpool to Inter Milan
Curtis Jones has officially completed his move from Liverpool to Inter Milan in a deal worth an initial €30 million, with another €5 million available through add-ons and a future sale clause. The transfer brings the 25-year-old midfielder to Serie A after he spent his entire senior club career at Liverpool. Jones also becomes the latest English player to join Inter alongside Djed Spence and John Stones.
The agreement followed lengthy negotiations between the two clubs. Liverpool had initially valued Jones at around €40 million despite his contract approaching its final season, but Inter eventually secured a deal with a total potential value of €35 million. The structure includes performance-related bonuses and a percentage of any future transfer fee, allowing Liverpool to retain some financial benefit from his next move.
Jones has now arrived in Milan after completing his journey from England and undergoing his medical examination. He has signed a contract with Inter that runs until June 2031, giving the Italian club a long-term commitment from a midfielder they have been monitoring for some time. Inter had previously explored the possibility of signing him during the January transfer window but were unable to reach an agreement.
The midfielder came through Liverpool’s academy and became one of the club’s remaining homegrown Scousers. His development at Anfield eventually earned him six senior appearances for England, during which he scored once. Moving abroad represents a major new chapter in his career after spending his formative and professional years entirely within the Liverpool system.
Inter are hoping Jones can bring energy, technical quality and versatility to their midfield as they prepare for a demanding season. The club also added a playful touch to his arrival by using an Indiana Jones theme in its presentation, referencing his famous surname. With a contract lasting until 2031, Jones is expected to become an important part of Inter’s plans for the years ahead.
