Vlahovic Contract Talks Stall as Juventus Faces Growing Transfer Threat
Dusan Vlahovic is once again at the center of attention as his contract situation with Juventus becomes increasingly uncertain. With his deal approaching its expiration at the end of June, negotiations between the player and the club have slowed down despite initial optimism following his return from a long injury layoff.
After spending four months on the sidelines, Vlahovic’s comeback briefly reignited discussions over a possible extension. Early talks showed promise, but momentum faded during a second round of meetings held over the international break, leaving both sides without a clear agreement.
Financial terms appear to be the main obstacle in reaching a deal. The striker’s current salary package, which includes bonuses, is considered too high to maintain without adjustments. Additional complications stem from agent-related commissions involving Darko Ristic, as well as bonus structures tied to a new contract.
Should negotiations collapse, several major clubs are ready to step in. AC Milan is reportedly interested in keeping him within Serie A, potentially reuniting him with Massimiliano Allegri, while FC Barcelona and Bayern Munich are also monitoring the situation closely.
With no resolution in sight, Juventus faces a difficult decision in the coming months. Failure to secure an extension could open the door for Vlahovic to leave on a free transfer, a scenario that would represent a significant loss for the club both financially and competitively.
