Persija Secure Goalkeeping Boost with Nadeo Argawinata on Long-Term Deal
Persija Jakarta have strengthened their squad for the 2026/27 season by signing Indonesian goalkeeper Nadeo Argawinata on a five-year contract. The long-term agreement highlights the club's commitment to building a competitive team capable of challenging for major honors in the upcoming campaign.
The transfer was completed as part of an agreement with Borneo FC Samarinda, which saw Aditya Warman and Ibrah Ohorella move in the opposite direction. The deal allows both clubs to reshape their squads ahead of the new season while addressing key positions.
Nadeo arrives in Jakarta after an impressive spell with Borneo FC, where he established himself as one of Indonesia's most reliable goalkeepers. Over the last three seasons, he made 106 appearances across domestic and regional competitions, recording 38 clean sheets and consistently delivering strong performances between the posts.
During the 2025/26 campaign, the goalkeeper remained a regular starter, keeping 12 clean sheets in 34 league matches. His consistent form at club level has also earned him an important role with the Indonesia national team, where he has been a trusted option since 2021.
The move represents a major step for both Persija and Nadeo as they prepare for a new chapter together. With his experience, leadership, and proven ability, the 28-year-old is expected to strengthen Persija's defense and play a key role in the club's pursuit of success during the 2026/27 season.
