Bruno Fernandes Rejects Galatasaray Offer as Manchester United Open Contract Talks

According to The Athletic, Manchester United are currently in talks with Bruno Fernandes over a new contract, despite Galatasaray offering the midfielder a lucrative deal.

It is reported that Galatasaray offered Bruno Fernandes a contract worth €20 million per year in salary, but the Portuguese midfielder wants to remain at Manchester United and is negotiating fresh terms with the club.

Bruno Fernandes’ current contract was signed in August 2024 and runs until the summer of 2027, with an option to extend for an additional year.

His contract previously included a €65 million release clause valid only for foreign clubs, but that clause has now expired. Manchester United are unwilling to sell Fernandes and have emphasized that no club has made contact with them regarding a potential transfer.

Last summer, Bruno Fernandes received an offer from Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal worth €40 million per year in wages. He admitted at the time that he was open to considering such a lucrative proposal, but ultimately stressed that sporting ambitions remained his priority and that he still wanted to win major trophies.

According to the report, the situation is the same this summer. Despite Galatasaray once again presenting a high-paying offer, Bruno Fernandes is willing to stay at Old Trafford and continue playing for Manchester United.

Fernandes enjoyed an outstanding season last year, providing 21 assists in the Premier League and setting a single-season assist record in the competition. He was also named Manchester United’s Player of the Season for the fifth time.
