Real Madrid Dressing Room “Completely Broken” as Internal Chaos Explodes

According to 《AS》, Real Madrid’s dressing room has completely fallen apart. Club insiders have reportedly revealed that there is even more going on behind the scenes, lamenting: “It’s all so pathetic — just end this as soon as possible.”
Reports claim that the Real Madrid dressing room is now fractured beyond repair, collapsing during what has become a disastrous, trophyless season. A similar situation emerged last season, but things were wrapped up far more cleanly at the time, largely thanks to Carlo Ancelotti’s renowned man-management skills. However, Ancelotti departed, Xabi Alonso took over before eventually being dismissed, and Álvaro Arbeloa was hurriedly appointed… none of it managed to put Madrid back on the path to victory. On the contrary, results deteriorated rapidly, performances worsened, and, even more concerning, the dressing room turned into a powder keg. Small tensions kept building until they finally exploded this Thursday: Federico Valverde and Aurélien Tchouaméni were involved in a physical fight, with Valverde requiring stitches to his head and being taken to hospital.
At this point, there is said to be no unity left inside the squad. Some players supported Xabi Alonso’s ideas earlier in the season, while others rejected his methods and placed more trust in Arbeloa’s approach. The entire process reportedly created resentment within the dressing room, feelings that have now surfaced openly and left several players confused and frustrated.
That atmosphere is now spreading throughout the squad: “It’s all so pathetic — just end this as soon as possible,” an insider reportedly commented. “This” refers to the current season. Real Madrid are already out of every title race, and many players are said to have mentally shifted their focus toward the World Cup, with the remaining matches only threatening to cause further damage to the club’s interests.
This is not the first internal conflict to come to light. Reports on Wednesday had already claimed that Valverde and Tchouaméni were involved in a heated verbal confrontation, though no physical altercation had occurred at that stage. Days earlier, it was also reported that Antonio Rüdiger slapped Carreras, who later confirmed the incident in a statement.
And these are reportedly only the latest examples. Earlier incidents allegedly included Kylian Mbappé clashing with a member of Arbeloa’s coaching staff, with the Frenchman preferring Xabi Alonso’s training methods; Raúl Asencio being punished by exclusion from several matchday squads after complaining about his substitute role; Dani Ceballos falling out of favour for challenging Arbeloa’s authority; Dani Carvajal growing distant from the coach due to limited playing time; Mbappé controversially travelling abroad during his recovery period; and leaks surrounding an alleged misdiagnosis of the French star’s knee injury by club doctors.
According to sources within the dressing room, these examples are only the tip of the iceberg: “The situation is extremely serious. There’s even more that has happened behind the scenes that the public still doesn’t know about.”
Without question, the clash between Tchouaméni and Valverde is being viewed as the final straw. It was reportedly a serious incident that had long been brewing: “He threw punches, and he hit hard… the warning signs had been there for a while.”
Now, the team’s immediate objective is simply to survive the upcoming El Clásico against Barcelona. But the truly crucial day of reckoning is expected to come next week, when Real Madrid host Oviedo at the Santiago Bernabéu. Inside the dressing room, players are already anticipating the consequences: “The Bernabéu will make the whole team pay for all of this.”
