Garudayaksa FC Sign Former Persija Playmaker Ryo Matsumura
Garudayaksa FC have strengthened their squad for the 2026/27 Super League season by signing Japanese attacking midfielder Ryo Matsumura. The club expects his arrival to add creativity and greater attacking quality as it prepares for a highly competitive campaign.
The experienced midfielder joins after spending the previous season with Persija Jakarta before completing a loan spell at Bhayangkara FC. Across both clubs, Matsumura made 13 appearances, contributing two goals and four assists while consistently demonstrating his playmaking ability.
Known for his vision, intelligent movement, and accurate passing, Matsumura is expected to become a key figure in Garudayaksa's midfield. His ability to create space and unlock defenses should provide the team with more attacking variety throughout the season.
The Japanese playmaker begins this new chapter with confidence and a strong desire to help his new club achieve its goals. He is determined to make an immediate impact and deliver consistent performances in every match.
Garudayaksa's management believes the signing completes an important piece of the squad ahead of the new season. With Matsumura leading the creative department, the club hopes to raise its overall level and compete more effectively in Indonesia's top-flight league.
