Persib Send Henhen Herdiana to PSM on Loan for the 2026/2027 Season

Persib Bandung have officially agreed to send Henhen Herdiana to PSM Makassar on loan for the 2026/2027 Super League season. The 31-year-old right-back is no longer part of Persib's plans for the upcoming campaign, making a temporary move the best option for him to continue playing regularly at the highest level.

Henhen is a product of Persib's own academy and has spent an important part of his professional career with the Bandung club. However, competition for places in the squad means opportunities could be limited next season. With regular playing time considered crucial to maintaining his performance and development, Persib decided that allowing him to join another club would benefit both parties.

PSM Makassar will become Henhen's new destination for the entire 2026/2027 campaign. The move gives the experienced defender an opportunity to remain active in the Super League while providing PSM with an additional option at right-back. Persib also expect the spell to help Henhen maintain his competitive level and continue developing as a player.

This will be the third loan spell of Henhen's professional career. His first came during the opening half of the 2023/2024 season when he temporarily joined Dewa United before returning to Persib. He then spent the entire 2025/2026 campaign on loan at Persik, gaining further experience away from his parent club.

Henhen, who is closely associated with the number 12 shirt, now faces another fresh challenge with PSM. The move could provide him with the consistent playing time he needs while allowing him to demonstrate that he can still make a significant contribution in the Super League. For Persib, the loan also offers a practical solution for a player who currently sits outside their plans without ending his connection with the club permanently.
