PSG Secure Rising Belgian Star Mika Godts on Long-Term Deal
Paris Saint-Germain have completed the signing of Belgian forward Mika Godts, securing the highly rated youngster on a contract that runs until 2031. The 22-year-old will wear the number 22 shirt as he begins a new chapter in France after developing into an important player at Ajax. PSG see his arrival as an investment in a talented attacker with significant room for further growth.
Godts first made his breakthrough at Ajax after progressing through the club’s youth system and impressing with Jong Ajax. He earned his senior opportunity during the 2023–24 campaign and made his Eredivisie debut against Fortuna Sittard on April 9, 2023, at just 17 years old. His early introduction to first-team football helped accelerate his development and gave him valuable experience at the highest level of Dutch football.
During his first full professional season in 2024–25, Godts became a regular contributor for Ajax, making 47 appearances across all competitions. He finished that campaign with eight goals and seven assists, demonstrating his ability to influence matches from attacking positions. His progress continued the following season, when he produced an impressive 17 goals and 15 assists in 44 appearances.
That remarkable output placed Godts among a select group of Ajax players to have recorded at least 15 goals and 15 assists in a single season since 2010. His combination of close control, dribbling ability, acceleration and attacking instinct made him one of the club’s most exciting young talents. Those qualities have now earned him the opportunity to test himself in Ligue 1 and compete alongside some of Europe’s elite players.
PSG are hoping Godts can bring additional creativity and dynamism to their attacking options while continuing his development under Luis Enrique. Moving to Paris represents a significant step in his career, but his long-term contract gives him plenty of time to establish himself at the French champions. With his attacking numbers and individual ability already attracting attention, Godts arrives at Parc des Princes with high expectations surrounding his potential.
