Samuele Ricci Set for Como Move as AC Milan Loan Deal Nears Completion

Samuele Ricci is reportedly close to joining Como from AC Milan on a season-long loan deal that includes an option to buy at the end of the campaign. The agreement between the two clubs is understood to be in place, but the transfer still depends on Como creating space in their midfield by selling one of their current players.

Ricci has been linked with an exit from Milan throughout the summer after reportedly falling outside the plans of new head coach Ruben Amorim. The midfielder arrived from Torino for an initial €23 million plus potential bonuses, but struggled to establish himself as a regular starter. Across 34 appearances in all competitions, he started only 14 matches, recording one goal and four assists.

According to reports from Sky Sport Italia, Como and Milan have reached an agreement over the loan arrangement, with the purchase option giving Como the opportunity to make the move permanent. However, the club must first offload one of its midfielders to complete the deal. Luca Mazzitelli appears to be the most likely departure, with Hellas Verona reportedly showing interest in the player.

Ricci had attracted attention from other clubs earlier in the summer, including Atalanta and Maurizio Sarri's side. Those approaches, however, failed to develop into serious negotiations, leaving Como in the strongest position to secure the midfielder. The move could provide Ricci with the opportunity to regain consistency and play a more important role after a difficult spell at Milan.

The 25-year-old midfielder, who has already earned 11 senior appearances for Italy, is now preparing for a new chapter in his career. A move to Como could give him regular playing time and a fresh environment in which to rebuild his confidence. For Milan, the arrangement would also offer a chance for Ricci to develop elsewhere while potentially becoming a permanent departure at the end of the season.
