Juventus Could Offload Eight Senior Players as Transfer Deadline Approaches

Juventus are preparing for a busy final stretch of the summer transfer window, with as many as eight senior players potentially leaving the club before the deadline. After adding several new faces, including Guglielmo Vicario from Tottenham and Jhon Lucumi from Bologna, the Turin giants now need to reduce the size of their squad to create room for further reinforcements.

Luciano Spalletti's team have already completed a significant recruitment drive, bringing in six players this summer. Alongside Vicario and Lucumi, Juventus have added Randal Kolo Muani, Kerim Alajbegovic and Jeff Ekhator, while Zeki Celik has arrived from Roma on a free transfer. The increased competition for places has inevitably created pressure to move several established players out.

Arthur Melo is among those facing an uncertain future, with the midfielder yet to make a competitive appearance for Juventus since the 2021-22 season. The club could reportedly look to terminate his contract early. In goal, Vicario is expected to become the first-choice option, potentially paving the way for Michele Di Gregorio to leave amid interest from Marseille and his former club Monza. Mattia Perin could also depart, with Emil Audero considered a possible replacement.

Juventus are also considering changes in defence and midfield. Daniele Rugani and Juan Cabal could be sent out on loan to other Serie A clubs, while Federico Gatti's future remains unresolved after attracting interest from Napoli. In midfield, Teun Koopmeiners is reportedly one of the leading candidates for a departure, particularly if Juventus decide to pursue Franck Kessie as a potential replacement.

Another player seeking a change is Nico Gonzalez, who reportedly wants to return to Atletico Madrid after a successful loan spell there. With his Juventus contract running until 2029, any move would require negotiations between the clubs. Juventus now face a crucial period in which their decisions could reshape the squad and determine whether Spalletti's side have enough balance and quality to challenge for the Serie A title.
