AC Milan Dream of Bringing Brahim Diaz Back as Transfer Window Enters Final Stretch
AC Milan have identified Brahim Diaz as their dream target to strengthen the attacking midfield position before the summer transfer window closes. The Rossoneri have already enjoyed a productive transfer period, but their squad is still considered incomplete, with the attacking midfield role remaining one of the areas they want to improve.
Diaz has emerged as an attractive option because of his previous experience with Milan and his potential situation at Real Madrid. Competition for places in the Spanish club’s squad could create an opportunity for the Morocco international to consider another move away from Madrid, with Milan reportedly exploring the possibility of bringing him back to San Siro.
A loan deal with an option to buy is believed to be one potential solution, although reaching an agreement in the final days of the window would be challenging. Milan’s interest has reportedly been reinforced by multiple reports, suggesting that Diaz remains one of the club’s preferred choices as they assess their options for the attacking midfield position.
Liverpool midfielder Harvey Elliott has also emerged as an alternative target. Milan appear to be monitoring players whose opportunities for regular first-team football could be limited, allowing the club to potentially take advantage of late-window opportunities. Elliott could therefore become a realistic option if negotiations for Diaz prove too difficult.
However, Milan’s next moves will depend heavily on their ability to generate space within the squad and budget. The club has indicated that further arrivals are tied to player departures, with Christopher Nkunku and Rafael Leao among the names expected to be considered as potential exits. Until those situations are resolved, Milan’s pursuit of Diaz and other attacking midfielders is likely to remain on hold.
