Alfeandra Dewangga Seals Move to Arema After Short Stint at Persib
Persib Bandung has officially agreed to part ways with defender Alfeandra Dewangga ahead of the 2026/2027 Super League season. The decision comes after both sides concluded that ending their partnership after just one season would be the best option for the player's career and the club's plans.
Although still under contract, the 24-year-old has secured a transfer to Arema FC through an agreed deal between the two clubs. The move was finalized following internal discussions involving Persib's coaching staff and management, who supported the transfer based on squad evaluation and future needs.
Dewangga joined Persib from PSIS Semarang with expectations of strengthening the defensive line. However, he struggled to establish himself as a regular starter, making only nine appearances throughout the season and spending much of the campaign on the bench.
Persib's management emphasized that the decision aligns with the club's approach to player development and professional career progression. They highlighted that any transfer consideration is made when it benefits both the team's structure and the player's long-term prospects.
With the agreement finalized, Persib expressed appreciation for Dewangga's contribution during his time at the club and wished him success in his next chapter. His move to Arema marks a new opportunity to revive his career and gain more consistent playing time in the upcoming season.
