Atletico Madrid Complete Permanent Signing of Kang-In Lee from PSG

Kang-In Lee has officially completed a permanent move to Atletico Madrid, ending his successful three-year spell with Paris Saint-Germain. The South Korean international returns to Spanish football after establishing himself as an important player during his time in France.
During his stay at PSG, Lee made 124 appearances while contributing 16 goals and 16 assists across all competitions. He also helped the club secure 12 major trophies, including back-to-back UEFA Champions League titles, becoming a valuable part of one of the most successful periods in the club’s history.
The 2024/25 campaign proved to be one of Lee’s finest seasons. He featured in 49 matches, scored seven goals, and provided six assists, playing a key role as PSG celebrated its first-ever Champions League triumph. His outstanding performances also earned him the prestigious 2025 Asian International Player of the Year award.
Returning to Spain marks a familiar chapter in Lee’s career. He first arrived in the country as a child to join Valencia’s academy before making his professional debut at just 17 years old. After several seasons with Valencia, he continued his development at Mallorca, where he impressed with consistent performances before earning his move to Paris.
Now back in La Liga, Lee begins a fresh challenge with Atletico Madrid. The move gives the talented midfielder an opportunity to build on his European success while adding creativity and attacking quality to Diego Simeone’s squad for the upcoming season.
